Ferry Building Redux - The Farmer's Market

Oranges and persimmons and lemons, oh my!
Is a purple radish hotter than a red one?
Peter Piper picked a peck...
Root veggies in all their autumnal glory.
Napa cabbage, daikon, scallions, lemon grass - they make me want to go for a wok.
Green, green, green, green....RED!
The tranquility of the market was suddely disturbed as this lady was swallowed by a Swiss chard the size of Baltimore.
Behold the wonder that is the pomegranate.

I had a chance to go back to the Ferry Building this week for a meeting (can't beat a opportunity to eat at the Slanted Door), so I chose to do it on Tuesday when they have their Farmer's Market. Now, I don't suppose the Ferry Building's farmer's market is any more spectacular than hundreds of others across this country - or, for that matter, thousands across the world - but what a wonderful opportuity to appreciate the beauty of bounty. And, for a photographer in particular, a bounty of color and texture. So, just a bit of eye candy from the foot of Market St. in San Francisco.

The image presentation is delightful. How did you do it?

Thanks, Karl! Well, you know... a liberal application of pixie dust always helps. That and really expensive equipment (which almost always makes up for a lack of talent!).
